The Facts on Class C RVs

You have so many different types of RV available to you when you start shopping for the perfect model that it can be hard to narrow down your options. If you’ve decided to go with a self-contained style like a motorhome, then you still have three options available. We’d like to highlight Class C RVs in particular as a great in-between style of motorhome.

Definition

A Class C RV is a type of motorhome, which is a self-propelled RV that you don’t have to tow. Class C is one of the three “classes” of motorhomes available, built on a truck-style chassis with an overhanging alcove above the cab, which is separate from the rest of the RV. The living space will likely have a master bedroom with some optional fold-out beds or convertible furniture, along with a kitchenette and a full bathroom.



 

Benefits

Compared to larger Class A and smaller Class B models, Class C RVs are a nice middle ground, because they’re spacious without being too cumbersome to drive. They can accommodate a family pretty easily for a relaxing camping trip and have all the features and amenities you’d expect of any RV. The truck chassis makes them especially easy to drive and park, even in smaller lots or at crowded tourist attractions.
